Pranava Souharda Sahakari Sangha Limited, having started in the year 2015 has successfully completed a decade of Banking activities - spreading across 3 districts. Perhaps the first and the only Credit Cooperative society to reach out the members requirements in Mysuru and Madikeri districts. Apart from the Financial activities Pranava is also aggressively involved in Social Service works. For this purpose, we had made a provision in our Bye law to use 2 percent of our Profit towards Charitable purpose. A Separate entity in the name of Pranava Charitable Trust was registered in the year 2018 with Pranava Souharda Sahakari Sangha President Sri G R Prasad as the Presidents for this trust. Since then, the charity activities got a major boost. In fact, the focussed areas have been Self-employment, Support to Solar Power installation, Encouraging Small and Micro units, and Savayavaie Organic farming.
We have done more than 20 workshops for the college students in Mangaluru and around. The focus was to enlighten them with opportunities and support available to become an entrepreneur. This has made good impact amongst a few students who did change their mind set to become an employer rather than an employee.
Further, there were more than 10 informative and interactive sessions on Organic farming to propagate Savayava cultivation to lead poison less kitchen. Besides we had organised about 30 Free Medical and Dental check-up camps conducted for our Members and General public. This apart we have financially supported the less fortunate patients who had major health issues and required financial assistance. Our support and encouragement to students in pursuing education was also to be noted.
